In short
Travary is a holiday planner app for iPhone and Android that organises the holiday you've booked. Add your flights, hotel, transfers and tickets (typed in, or read from the confirmation PDF), and Travary sorts them into days, counts down to the holiday on a postcard from your destination, and opens each morning on what you need, with tickets offline. It's coming soon to the App Store and Google Play.
Planning the holiday you've booked
Search for a "holiday app" and you'll mostly find booking sites and tour operators' apps. They're good at selling you a holiday and at showing the parts you bought from them. What they don't do is hold the whole thing: the flights from one company, the villa from another, the airport parking, the boat trip, the restaurant you booked yourself.
Travary is for that part. It doesn't sell anything; it organises what you've already booked, wherever you booked it.
From confirmation email to day-by-day plan
- Add your bookings
Type them in (only a title and a date are needed), or pick the confirmation PDF or a screenshot and Smart Import reads it. A package holiday's single confirmation, with flights, hotel and transfer, becomes several bookings for you to check.
- The holiday forms itself
Bookings group into a trip by their dates. Call it "Majorca with the kids" and Travary knows where you're going, and dresses the trip with that place's postcard.
- Each day, in order
On holiday, the app opens on today: the transfer time, the hotel's key card, the tables you've booked. Tickets are one tap away, even with no signal.

The weeks before you go
Between holidays, Travary counts down on a postcard from your destination, with a luggage tag showing the days to go. Each trip also has a "Before you go" list for the jobs that aren't bookings: the GHIC card, the travel money, the cattery, the airport parking. Give a job a "by" date and share the list with whoever's doing half of it. Our holiday checklist has the full list, sorted by when to do each job.
Travary also checks every passport you add against the holiday. Europe's rule (three months left after you leave, and issued within the last ten years) catches people out; Travary flags any passport with less than six months left after you're home, which covers every country's rule. What is the best app for holiday planning?
For the holiday you've booked, choose an app that holds bookings from anywhere, shows each day in order, works offline and shares with the people you're travelling with. Travary does all four. For researching where to go, booking sites and planning tools are better.
Can a holiday planner app read my booking confirmation?
